Rafael Escobedo

Rafael Escobedo does research at the intersection of organizational theory, agrarian, and non-state societies, with a special interest in the role of peasant farmers and seasonal farmworkers subaltern politics. He holds an M.A. in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School. Specifically, Rafael studies how peasant farmers and farmworkers are affected and in turn purposefully influence complex systems through autonomous learning and resistance networks. Rafael is currently working as a researcher and collaborator of autonomous organizations and communities and is the head editor of Gustavo Esteva’s intellectual legacy.
