Vikas Rawal is Professor of Economics at the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His research focuses on issues related to agriculture and agrarian relations. His recent books include The Global Economy of Pulses (FAO) and When Governments Fail (Tulika Books) (both co-edited).
