Takemasa Ando is a professor at the Faculty of Sociology, Musashi University. His research areas include the history of social movements in postwar Japan and food activism in Hong Kong. He has published Japan’s New Left Movements: Legacies for Civil Society, Routledge, translated in Chinese,『新左運動與公民社會：日本六〇年代的思想之路』左岸文化. He has visited Sangwoodgoon many times as a part of his field research.
