Swati Janu is an architect, writer and community artist based in New Delhi, India whose work engages with issues of social justice and right to shelter in Indian cities. Her social practice combines architectural activism, community engagement and practice-based research on the urban themes of migration and urban informality. A graduate from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, Swati also holds an MSc in Sustainable Urban Development from University of Oxford, UK. She is the founder of Social Design Collaborative as well as visiting faculty at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and Ambedkar University, New Delhi.
