From 1972 until this year he lived and worked in Chiapas.
He has collaborated in the formation of catechists and community leaders. Animating and coordinating the press services of the Indigenous Congress Fray Bartolomé de Las Casas from 71 to 74. As well as 50 community processes of alternative education with peasants in the jungle of Margaritas.
From 1983 to 1986 he accompanied the struggle for community autonomy and the Flor del Río collective.
After the Zapatista uprising he founded Caritas San Cristobal to support processes aimed at advancing the food and economic autonomy of indigenous and peasant communities.
He accompanied the process of formation and consolidation of a Savings and Credit System for 250 indigenous craftswomen of the organization Mujeres Sembrando la Vida, in Zinacantán, Chiapas.
He contributed to the institutional strengthening of 60 civil organizations in Chiapas, Oaxaca, Tabasco and Campeche.
He accompanied the organizational process of Una Mano Amiga por la Ecología in Chiapas, an effort by peasants in the border zone with Guatemala to advance economic, financial and food autonomy.
